COVID-19 Updates
Wednesday 3/9/2022
- Travis county is back to Level 2, so masks will be optional in the office. We do suggest vaccination.
- We continue to see folks in office or via telemedicine. Insurance is still covering telemedicine at this time but is subject to change. Please keep up with notices from your insurance company.
Wednesday 8/25/2021
- Due to the Level 5 status in Travis county, we are again requiring masks in the office.
- If you would like to change from in office to telemedicine, we understand. Just leave us a message.
Wednesday 6/23/2021
We are now scheduling visits either in office or telemedicine. We do ask that anyone unvaccinated wears a face mask in the office. Please let us know when you schedule your appointment on your preference. We do need to know where to expect people. Some visits will be required to be in office.
At this time insurance is still covering telemedicine visits.

We have successfully completed a week of the "new normal" of telemedicine visits. Overall, things went pretty well. We will continue this method until CDC guidelines change. Received two insurance updates today -
- UBH has officially confirmed they are covering Telemedicine as a standard visit through April 30, 2020. Several claims have paid already.
- BCBS has not provided a date, but have been covering telemedicine claims this week.

Please continue to submit refill requests through the pharmacy or using the request form on the current patients tab here. Allow 48 hours for refills to be processed due to high demand. We are only using Doxy for appointments. Please continue to call for appointment changes.
Thursday 3/19/2020
In response to COVID-19, we are switching to a 100% telemedicine practice. We want to ensure our patient care is uninterrupted and that we are responsibly maintaining social distance. We will maintain this mode until public health guidelines change.
Please check for updates on www.drsierk.com for updates as the situation evolves. We are currently testing doxy.me for appointments and expect to use this solution starting on Monday March 23, 2020. It is not ideal, but it is the responsible thing to do.
We should have more information on our web page by the end of the week (March 20th) on any special requirements.
We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding while we work through the issues during this transition. We feel telemedicine will be the best solution during these unprecedented times and maintaining the social distancing will get things back to normal in the fastest way possible!
Our understanding to date is most insurance companies are covering telemedicine visits similar to in person visits. We are planning to collect co-pays, co-insurance, or out of pocket charges during your scheduled appointment. For patients unable to access doxy.me, a phone visit can be provided at the same rate as telemedicine or in person visit.
Any patient requesting medication changes, anxiety medications, or of issues deemed more appropriate for a patient visit will be required to make an appointment.
Any questions or if you would like to reschedule, please reach out to the office at 512-870-8180.
Again, there will be no in-office appointments, the office will be closed. Please follow the link below for your video telemedicine appointment.
